Spinel Bead Rosary Long Necklace

The spinel gemstone beads are wire worked together creating a soft and supple chain necklace.  

Materials: the necklace is made of gold plated sterling silver and is beaded with spinel gemstone beads.

Details: the necklace is 40" long and does not have a clasp.

These days spinel is a little known gem but in ancient times South East Asia’s mines yielded exceptional large spinel crystals.  These became the treasured property of kings and emperors, often passing through many hands as spoils of war.
